On Friday's class, the hip hop dance moves were choreographed by my teacher and was pretty challenging. I have a lot of practice ahead of me before I can call myself an intermediate dancer.

I'm often wondering how many times a week I should practice my hip hop.

I will probably go up to two lessons per week... At one lesson a week I am getting better, but also forgetting quite a bit.

I think at two lessons a week, it would be perfect.

Hi gang...I think i'll do my next post on hip hop battles... why the battle takes place, strategies etc for battling. Basically, everything about battling.

Hip Hop Dance Public battle!

Awesome stuff today from all of the hip hoppers who battled it out in Fed Square in Melbourne today. Was some really good examples of hip hop dance moves, and the winner won a bit of cash which was good!

Hip Hope Dance moves on Painful legs

Tomorrow is friday, hip hop dance moves day and I'm sitting here with some really painful legs.

Here's hoping that I can get them feeling a bit fresher by tomorrow. The issue is I went for some sprint training on Tuesday in an attempt to build some power FOR dancing, but have ended up quite sore all over.

I'm sure one nights rest will at least enable me to get up and dance a little bit.

As many of you know, I learn hip hop dance, and yesterday in class we practiced 3 versions of the "running man".

"up" style, "down" style, and "reverse".

Early lessons in Hip Hop

One of my first classes at hip hop and I learnt the Steve Martin dance.

It was pretty sweet, but a little bit complicated...and i'll definitely cover it over at the blog when I get the encyclopedia fully up and running.
